Hiking at Bryce Canyon Utah
Written by danyricher
Utah is one of our favorite State as of now. We were South Utah for few days and we absolutely wanted to go to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. Those two parks were on our bucket list since the beginning of our trip. There are multiple places to visit in the park, so we really suggest that you plan your visit prior to your arrival!
Hiking at Bryce Canyon Utah

Magic of the Hoodoos
Being at Bryce means to be able to see the largest concentration of hoodoos (irregular columns of rock) on earth. You can let yourself be carried away by hoodoos, the red rocks, the pink cliffs and the endless vistas. To realize the force of nature. To see these trees and conifers growing through these rocks.
As you can see, we were at 8300 ft altitude at Bryce Point which was the beginning of our adventure.

Peek-A-Boo Loop Trail
We were looking at Alltrails App and we have decided, all together with friends, to do the Peek-A-Boo Loop Trail even before heading to Bryce Canyon. A 5.2 mile (8.36 km) loop trail. We can handle that!
Early that morning, we already knew that is gonna be a hot and sunny day around 95 F (35 C). We were all preapered with our camel back with about half a Gallon (2 Liters) of water each, snacks (fruits, nuts and protein bars), sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, emergency kit and of course hiking shoes.
A day that ends well
We finally made it, back to Bryce Point, after sharing water left between all of us. We were back at the parking, exhausted but proud to have done this hike with our friends.
The most important thing, respect your limits! Be aware of dehydration or low energy. Bring enough water and snacks. Take your time and enjoy this amazing view!
Pushing our own limits
Known for being a strenuous hike due to the rapid elevation change and the length, we knew that hike would test our own limits. Especially with weather conditions and altitude.
All the way down, we were looking everywhere. We were blown away by the view and the beauty that Bryce offered us.
We were keeping in mind that we need to be able to go back to Bryce Point, so we were making sure everybody were ok to continue or if they prefered to go back.
At some point, we decided to go back because we were getting low in water and the temperature was still going up. Our energy was getting lower even if we had few snacks and stops. At some point, I was walking more and more slowly, I was out of breath, ran out of water and I was asking myself if I will make it.
